This DIY Floral Spring Wreath is so easy to make-this blogger shares a step by step photo tutorial!

This time last week we were getting 8 inches of snow. Can you believe that? And tomorrow we are expecting flurries again…but this past weekend we had a glorious few days of temperatures in the low 60s and I am deep in the depths of spring fever! So despite the promise of at least one more snow, I made this pretty DIY spring wreath for the front door. (You’ll have to excuse many of the pictures in the tutorial-I started making the wreath while sitting out on my front stoop watching my boys {finally} getting some awesome outside time!)

  • 24″ grapevine wreath
  • floral tape
  • floral wire
  • faux flowers
  • wire cutters
  • 3′ burlap ribbon
  • hot glue
  • scissors

I wanted my flowers to remind me of wildflowers and be predominantly green, yellow and white.  I bought 3 small stems of the white flowers and then 2 each of different greenery bundles-one had green thistles and the other had yellow foliage so I thought they were a good balance.

Use wire cutters or the “snipping” portion of pliers to cut the stems of the bundles to separate them-this gives you more flexibility when arranging the two bundles of flowers. As you cut apart the bundles divide them into two fairly equal piles.
